My wedding is approaching and it’s crunch time!
I have decided to do a keto diet and keep it up all the way to the day of my wedding.
The keto diet consists of the 60/35/5 ratio. 60% of your calories come from fat, 35% of your calories come from protein, 5% come from carbs. Right now, I am aiming to net 1800 calories or lower on the days I work out. Assuming that I burn 400 calories per work out, my total caloric intake will be 2200. On days I’m not working out, I will consume 2000 calories.
I found that the Bodybuilding.com forums are a great resource for any physical fitness/weight loss goal people may have. For keto, A Guide to Ketosis is a great educational resource to help jump-start your diet. It covers how your body reacts and transforms while on ketosis and shows useful illustrations for the scientific part of it if you’re into that stuff. It also lists the types of foods that are best consumed and resources for recipes while on the diet. I will continue to update THIS post and the “what I eat” section of this blog more often in regards to keto.
I want to start weighing myself again. I need to face reality to be able to get good results. Measuring my weight is a helpful metric in the long run.
I’ve been picking up the slack since my vacation in the Philippines and the work’s been hard, but it has also been rewarding. It has been a year since I started this blog and I believe I have been making progress.
Speaking of progress, I need to post more progress photos. LOL. Keeping up a blog is serious work and it’s easy to get complacent. I’m just happy I still find time to update it every now and then. I have a little less than 4 months to get to where I want to be physically and I have no intentions of stopping. I’m the type of person that hates going to the gym, but I never regret going once my workouts are complete. These 4 months will either make me or break me; no more excuses! Wish me luck!
